Library Resources

BOOKS: A growing collection of carefully selected books, both Indian and international, relating to the curriculum of the Academy, are available in the Library including many standard reference books. This collection gets continuously updated by the addition of new books. In addition to general books, the collection also includes other publications such as conference proceedings, papers and dissertations.

PERIODICALS: The Library subscribes to a wide range of periodicals, mostly international, which present the latest news of fashion industry around the world. This includes leading magazines on fashion, textiles and home fashion. Journals/magazines old issues are bound and available for its members.

REFERENCE MATERIAL: The Reference Collection consists of material supporting both quick fact-finding and in-depth research, such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, almanacs, atlases, bibliographies, indexes, abstracts, etc.

NEWSPAPERS: Over ten local newspapers are housed in the Newspapers area of the library. All newspapers are available for reading inside the library only.

E-BOOKS: The library subscribes to over 250 e-books provided by EBSCO, Myilibrary, Berg fashion library. You can access to electronic books related to fashion, textiles, architecture and other subjects being taught at the Academy, allowing users to access them via the library catalogue inside/outside the campus.

E-JOURNALS: The Library provides e-journals to its users with full text and searchable interface, covering subject areas from arts, architecture, luxury, communication, media, fashion, culture etc. Prominent e-journal platforms include ProQuest, EBSCO, BERG, Taylor & Francis, SAGE Journals, intellect Journals. Please contact the Library staff to know more about this, and gain access to any of the e-journals.

ONLINE DATABASES: Library is subscribing to databases like WGSN(Fashion and Lifestyle & Interiors), ProQuest ABI Complete, EBSCO (Art & Architecture & Communication & Mass Media Complete), BERG FASHION LIBRARY, Fiber to Fashion and Vogue Archive. Topics covered under these databases are fashion trends/forecast, architecture, communication & media, encyclopedia of fashion etc. They are available at the Library website (OPAC) and major e-databases can be accessed remotely by student and staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any location.

CD and DVD collection: A number of CDs and DVDs on fashion and related subjects are available in the Library. Students are welcome to use this collection in-house.
